The same window with a straight bit instead of a V-bit: a pocket with upright walls and a plug a glue gap smaller, both with the cutter's round corners so they fit. Make a bowtie draws a butterfly key with its pocket and its plug. The film ends on the lid, its pocket and the plug that fills it.

An inlaid box lid: the whole project

A box lid with a word inlaid in it. The lid and the word are drawn from a blank drawing; the Inlay window shows the pocket and the plug seated, to scale; a test coupon is drawn and simulated first; then Make the inlay carves the pocket in the lid and draws the mirrored plug on a board of its own, as a second piece of the job with its own zero and program. Each piece is simulated with nothing to fix. A last chapter shows the same window with a straight bit, and a bowtie.
