A 3D model opened as a relief

CNC, Carve a picture opens an STL file in the picture window: the model comes in as a relief, the surface nearest the eye, as deep against its width as the model is. Seen from picks which of its six sides faces the cutter: the clip looks at it from the front and from below, then from above again.

Shaping a relief

A depth picture of a head and shoulders is carved as a relief and shaped in the picture window, which shows it lit as it will carve. Fade the edge lets the shoulders fall away to the floor, Flat background cuts the low places to one clean floor, and What stands high turns it over into a mold.
