Lettering for a carved sign

The Text tool opens a box on the sign board: the words go in, the font comes from a list of carving fonts that are built in, and the size from the heights a shop uses. While the box is open, the tool's own panel sets the letters round an arc, bulges the middle, opens the spacing and mirrors them; Enter sets them down, and a double-click changes the words where they stand.

Letters along any curve

On an oval sign the word and an inner oval are selected together, and a right-click sets the letters along the oval. The oval is reshaped by a grip and the letters are shown following it while the grip is still held. Then the words are opened by a double-click and the gap between two letters is set by hand from the keyboard, with the caret on the drawing standing in that gap.
